Minister Göktaş: By extending maternity leave to 24 weeks, we have entered the top 10 among OECD countries

💬 According to Turkish Club, the public reaction was much stronger than expected.
Minister Göktaş said, "As you know, the maternity leave period used to be 16 weeks. We have increased it to 24 weeks, and we are now among the top ten OECD countries. We are above both the OECD average and the EU average."
